Jimbaran beach is one of Bali's best beaches and stretches itself out for 5 miles. It starts at the Ngurah Rai International airport and ends at the glamorous Four Seasons resort. The village is traditionally a fishing village and they are still very active. You can find the fishermen coming ashore early in the morning where their catch finds its way to the popular fish market.
Here the representatives of many resorts in the south of Bali come to buy their first class fish.

Jimbaran is a very low-key place and you will not find many activities here, for this you have to go to the Kuta-Legian area where you can party till the early hours. This makes Jimbaran the ideal spot for those travellers who love to escape from it all and for those spending quality time together on a honeymoon.
There are some really good resorts and hotels where you can stay in this little village. There's the above mentioned Four Season Resort, the Intercontinental Bali, the Puri Jimbaran Resort and the Keraton all with direct access to the beach.

The most expensive but also most luxurious of the four is the Four Seasons with private swimming pools, fine architecture, unique outdoor living room, lovely service and one of the best views on the bay. For those who love to splurge there are also private residences with more square meters and butler service.
The Intercontinental Hotel Bali is just a stroll away and is the biggest resort of them all but luckily they have maintained their Balinese character with flowers, statues, umbrellas and private gazebos in their huge garden with 3 immaculate swimming pools. Their rooms are also huge just like their facilities of a gym, 5 restaurants and numerous activities.

The Jimbaran Puri Bali has 42 fantastic bungalows and is part of the Orient Hotels with their sister hotel Ubud Hanging Gardens. The atmosphere here is very relaxed and their bungalows have huge bathrooms, living rooms and even private pools if you want to. Not that you really need this one since their swimming pool is huge.
The Keraton Jimbaran Resort is located closest to the airport from the above hotels but you will not here the airplanes so don't worry. Their grounds are lovely with tropical flowers, Balinese statues and direct beach access. However their rooms look tired and are in dire need of some refurbishment. The Keraton is very popular with package tourists from Europe the USA and because their prices aren't too high don't expect too much luxury here.
